this afternoon

everyone was there. there are a lot of relatives i have never met. i know malcolm because he went to UMass and is like 2 weeks older than me. his older brother, tho, i've never met before -- jake. and his two cousins -- i've seen the girl before, but not the boy -- jonathan -- who's actually way older than us. i dont even know how we're related... let's see... their father is my mom's first cousin because my mom's father (my grandfather) and their grandmother (my great-aunt) are siblings. soooo... malcolm is my second cousin. lol, ty wikipedia

nothing much else to report on that... tears, formalities, hugs all around...

i started reading lethal legacy by linda fairstein. so far so good...

i've been helping pauline write her ALISE paper, doing a lot of the research she'll need to write it. today, she says she's gonna put my name on it as well. so i'll have to work harder to make it look good (do you think it's a ploy to get me to put more effort in? hmm... nahhh). she mentioned "virtual dave" so i looked him up. here's his blog. he's got the coolest gadget at the bottom of his "about me" page. it's a timeline of what he's published and it's kind of interactive.

anyway, gotta get some sleep before tomorrow... CIMS holiday party @ 4 -- gotta be social, lol.
