- do the practice exam for linear algebra and study some more, &
- meet with arjun for coffee
we went to "think coffee" (the cafe across from CIMS). i dont know what he ordered but it came in this tiny cup with barely any liquid in it. it's supposed to be condensed coffee (really good coffee). i got an apple cider (more expensive than it should be, but i get more for the money than if i had gone to starbucks). it was fun, we squeezed ourselves into two seats in the middle of the room (kinda). the place was packed with people (each person occupying his/her own table that seats at least two so there goes the room). we talked about a range of topics -- from math to harry potter to recreational classes. there's a lot i dont know about india and it really shows. whoops, guess i should've done my research on indian culture first (danielle! where are you when i need you??)
i spent much of the day working on the practice exam... there are 5 questions -- 4 of which seem really easy and the last one is really hard. rae and i had to illicit johann's help. he's so smart... and unafraid of electrocution apparently cuz he was messing with his laptop charger (it's broken) while it was still plugged into the wall.
tomorrow, i'll be shelving and (wo)manning the front desk at courant. i plan to make a lot of headway with my libguides project and retake the practice final so i can hammer in the concepts and answers. other than that, ask me for more details. i'm going to bed. good night!
ps, this fairstein book is so intense. i cant wait to delve deeper. right now, i'm in page 100 and someone's dead, another's missing and major under the table things going on... i highly recommend reading it.
pps. i read in amNY today that NYU just bought $14,000 worth of gourmet cookbooks for fales library (3rd fl of bobst). hmmmm...
