june 2 -- a new beginning

alright, i've been terrible at blogging. so from this day forth, i will blog something every day. even if it's nothing, which is inspired by a conference i went to recently (OpenSciNY) where a speaker, David Hogg, talked about blogging.

quick run down of stuff: (see my calendar for more events untold)
  1. i've been reading this awesome book called This Book is Overdue! by Marilyn Johnson. She's making an appearance on monday at mid-manhattan library and i'm debating whether or not to go. it would be fun to meet this hysterical librarian. who knew POOP was such a big problem in libraries (esp "rouge poop")?
  2. tonight is my 2nd LIS 511 class with Trudy Katz. she's also a hysterical woman. class is way too long in my opinion tho (almost 3 hours).
  3. i've been really bad with the mentoring component of my program. i started fixing my wikipage but then gave up when i needed to append my (nonexistant) blog entries about it. no worries, they will come into being soon...
  4. i'm taking a swimming class and my leg/toes cramps a lot. i blame it on arjun =D
  5. i'm taking a salsa class and dancing with different guys is FUN.
  6. i'm still planning an itinerary for NOLA (leaving in about a week for a week!)
  7. i'm volunteering at the World Science Festival on Friday at the telescope in battery park from 2-6pm and the Street Fair on Sunday from 1-6pm. arjun and i also have tickets to see some of the other events around the city. excitinggg...
ok, i think that's enough for now. once i start blogging more, the entries will get less filled with activities (i can only do so much in one day).
