another hot august day... surprised it didn't rain like the last few afternoons. i had a busy day at work and issues with HR. it seems i wont get my first paycheck for another two weeks =/ i'll be getting paid for 4 weeks worth of work in one go!
it all stemmed from my inability to choose classes and register for them online. after much deliberation with pauline, i decided to take linear algebra I, analysis I, intro to library and information sciences, and intro to knowledge organization (cataloging). so my classes are M-W. i'll have to figure out where to do my work-study as well...
on the bright side, i stopped by the sciences reference desk and met my mentor, meg smith! we spent well over half an hour getting to know each other. she seems like a wonderful person; i can't wait to learn more about her.
i've been exploring the different floors of bobst. on tuesday morning, i came across the avery fisher center for music and media, which was showing the first LOTR! i sat down and watched part of it before going to work. this morning i passed by the digital data studio on the 6th floor. i'm surprised how little space it takes up since it has the latest top of the line technology in there.
