it's been a while since i wrote anything. contrary to what you may think, my life has actually been really, really busy. it's when it's not busy that i actually have time to think and write something down.
the past few weeks have been incredibly stressful. the analysis midterm happened this past thursday. i really hate to go into exams not knowing how it's structured and what i'm expected to be able to regurgitate. so indeed, i felt like i was swimming in the open ocean when i walked into that exam. walking out, i could say i should've at least gotten 1/2 of it. i wrote all over the flipside of the pages -- whatever came to mind was scrawled everywhere. i'm still upset i cant figure out what i did wrong on the last question. i differentiated something wrong.
this week is spring break, but it's not like i'm having much fun. i've got two midterms next week. monday's is linear algebra (another exam that i am blindly swimming about in the sea). wed's is statistics. he gave us the set of questions he will be choosing from, but i'm having so much trouble concentrating and actually figuring out what he gave us in class. lisle and i met these last two days to study. i would say we've been mostly productive, tho i end up talking a lot. lol...
i found out yesterday that i won a scholarship from SLA-NY to attend the 2010 SLA Annual Conference in New Orleans from June 13-16! i am so excited and so nervous. i've never attended a national conference anywhere. i've never even flown in a plane. i rarely stay at hotels. it'll be my first time in the south. i'll be there by myself! i emailed some wise gurus for advice and some of them have already replied and given me some awesome tips.
last friday, simon and i watched "white on rice" -- this great independent film. i really liked the story and how it's not perfect. it doesnt leave you feeling perfectly content. there's something off, but in the end, everything is ok.
mmm there are other things, but i'm tired so i'll stop just short of gushing about a certain someone. lol...
