first week of classes

so i think i'm pretty much set on what classes i'm going to take this semester: Metadata, Analysis II, Linear Algebra II, and Statistics. so far i've had 2/4 classes and i want to audit one called Ocean Dynamics. it was supposed to be this morning, but the professor didn't show up so the 5 of us left. i ended up having a lively conversation with one of the students in the library afterwards. i don't even know his name, but he's a phD candidate from poly. he's got a lot of funny stories and we seem to have a lot in common (ie not liking "rigorous" math, disliking analysis, growing up in the city, not taking ourselves too seriously, etc).

i've also been figuring out the kinks in my work schedule. i think it's pretty much set now. i'll be in bobst m-w 10-2 and in courant at odd hours that will total 8/week. lol. i tried really hard to get the weekend free to myself. on top of studying hard, i want to actually work on a social life this semester! last semester, it was nonexistant. so we'll see how that goes...lol

tonight, i got analysis with a new prof. i actually bumped into my analysis prof from last semester this morning in the elevator. he wasn't wearing his red jacket -- i almost didn't recognize him. lol.
