so yes, kerry and i went to bobst and watched boomerang! (1947). it's a film noir, a genre i wasn't aware and from what i've read about it, it's quite difficult to explain. in any event, the film itself was very good. i love that there was a male narrator during parts of it. the acting was superb. i really liked the state prosecutor. oh, before i go into that, the film centers around a trial of a murder suspect. early on in the film, a priest is murdered, gunned down, in the middle of the street with lots of witnesses. and there is havoc on the town as the people demand justice and the police have no leads on a suspect. as soon as they latched onto this one guy, they pegged him with the murder. anyway, not going to tell you what happens, but i think it's worth watching. and it's based on a true story!
i wonder why it's called boomerang...
