indeed, it is quite lovely. in the 70s again. what to do on such a beautiful day, but spend it indoors in front of a computer doing hw... sigh...
i'm actually taking kerry to bobst to watch boomerang! (1947), an old black and white film. for some crazy reason, his teacher assigned everyone an old film to watch and write reviews on without telling them HOW to obtain such films. it's a crazy manhunt for these things. he assumed every film would be available for his students to get their hands on. we searched nypl without luck and bpl has a few copies, but they're scattered in locations that require long, out of the way, train rides to get to. lucky for him, i go to nyu. tho, their policy is that guests aren't allowed to use any of the resources... but they're allowed in for collaborative study. hopefully, they'll let him in... otherwise, we'll have to figure something else out...
