first dual degree social

yesterday, i trekked my way over to first ave to a bar called d.b.a. they have a really nice open backyard that is reminiscent of a patio and there are picnic-type tables/benches. mostly it was us newbies who attended. it was a lot of fun. we talked about a variety of topics. everyone has such varying interests. wish more people had come, but by the middle of it, several different conversations were going on at once and we could barely hear each other over the buzz of everyone else in the bar. jeremy was nominated at the end of the night to figure out the next month's social gathering. jill gave me her cataloging book for free! thanks jill! and i managed to read the chapter due tuesday on the train on my way home.
